The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) will have end to end responsibility for leading and carrying out the technology vision. This individual will act as the liaison to Firm Leadership and lead all aspects of technology strategy and growth.
Key to this individual’s success will be the ability to build and maintain relationships with the various technology teams and other functional areas across the firm. They will lead the technology leaders across the organization in ensuring all technical standards are being met, as well as driving new standards and processes. They will collaborate with and supervise, the development of new technology initiatives and ensure that they meet business objectives. Key to success will be his/her ability to anticipate and react to technology change(s), keeping competitive in its efforts.
The CTO will play an integral part in the firm’s strategic direction, development and continued growth. They will be both a credible leader and influencer across the organization by demonstrating extensive understanding of intellectual property, architecture and overall infrastructure.
Ideal Experience/Requirements:
- Successful track record in helping to guide an organization through significant change. Exposure to a partnership structure and culture; success working as part of a senior leadership team in a fast-paced, non-hierarchical, and collaborative organization.
- Demonstrated success leading all aspects of technology vision, development and execution in a fast-paced environment with cutting edge technology. Proven ability to establish technical standards and ensure adherence across organization.
- Experience managing internal and external partnerships with technology teams and vendors.
- 15+ years of Technology executive leadership experience with world-class technology organizations (high- tech, financial services, etc.). Previous or current role as CTO for Proprietary Trading Firm ideal.
- A Master’s degree in Information Technology, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, or MBA, preferred.
